At the Heart Attack and Stroke Prevention Center, we invite all heath professionals to come and get a Carotid Intima-Media Thickness Test (CIMT). This CIMT test is a 20 minute, non-invasive ultrasound which measures the thickening of your artery walls and any plaque buildup that may be occurring, far before it could be seen on a standard stress test or carotid duplex scan.
